Takemet was born from a beautiful meeting of two worlds—and a shared love for creating travel that feels deeply personal.
Mostafa brings the heart, history and lived wisdom of Egypt: an Egyptian, a licensed Egyptologist guide and teacher who has spent his life exploring the country he calls home. Jennifer brings the perspective of a lifelong traveler, along with the care, connection and attention to detail that helps every guest feel truly seen and supported. Together, we blend East and West, ancient and modern, local knowledge and a traveler’s perspective to create journeys that feel effortless, meaningful and uniquely yours.
But Takemet is about more than what each of us brings to the journey. It’s about what happens when your story becomes part of ours—and Egypt becomes part of yours.

A Name Rooted in History, Chosen With Heart
Takemet is more than our name. It's a little piece of Egypt's story—and ours.
Long before the world called it Egypt, the ancient Egyptians knew their homeland as Kemet, meaning “Black Land,” named for the rich, fertile soil along the Nile that sustained their civilization for thousands of years. We added Ta, the ancient Egyptian word for “the,” giving our name Takemet the beautiful meaning of “The Black Land.” With Mostafa's Egyptian ancestry and deep love for his homeland at the heart of our company, choosing a name so deeply rooted in Egypt's own history felt especially meaningful. Takemet is our way of honoring where this story began while inviting you to become part of it. Because to us, sharing Egypt isn't just about showing you its extraordinary past. It's about welcoming you into its living culture, its warmth, and its people—so that when you leave, you take home more than memories. You take home a connection that feels like family.
